Dani Johnson

We just got back from a mind altering seminar in Houston put on by Dani Johnson. This was definetly an experience that has changed my life and the way I will do things from now on.If you are ever offered the opportunity to hear her speak, don't hesitate. This experience has brought me closer to reaching my goals, as well as closer to my Crossfit family.

Tabata What

Tabata Time.....everyone groans and faces get sour when they hear these words. All though we may not love Tabata style exercises, they hit you where it hurts. Today we did Tabata situps, which equals 8, twenty second rounds with ten seconds of rest in between each. But this was no ordinary rest in between, it's what I like to call active rest! They held a crunch position for their ten seconds of rest, resulting in a burning core.

Your welcome guys!

Nasty Girls

Two of my precious Deep Eddy bootcampers, Maggie and Blake, show off their sweat and dirt stained clothing from the bear crawl filled hour they just put themselves through. Both of these ladies have had remarkable success and complete transformations. Great job girls, I am very proud of you both. Check back soon for their testimonials and success stories!

Triumphing Over Weakness

HHHMMMM.....This is by far the worst form I have ever seen on a MU. This is what they look like everytime. My first goal was to be able to do a muscle up, my new goal is to make it look presentable! Not only do I want it to look good, but it is important to have good form because it discards the possibility of injury. As well as perfecting the MU, the Crossfit Central women trainers have been training everyday on ring dips, chest to bar, and handstand pushups. Our biggest weaknesses. But not to worry, we WILL MASTER these movements!

Line Em Up

It is amazing what you can do with only a set of dumbells. Today the Lakepoint crew gave it all they had in a workout using dumbells for swings and deadlifts combined with some squats and hill runs. Some people make excuses for not having the funds for equipment or the time. There is no excuse, you need little to no equipment for a Crossfit workout and a very minimal amount of time. If you need ideas or help finding creative ways to get a quick workout in at home, feel free to ask. No more room for excuses!

Hoppy Easter Everybody

This weekend I got the pleasure of going out to my buddies lake house and relaxing for 3 whole days. I loved it, and my body is thankful for it. We painted eggs, had an Easter egg hunt, and went to church with the fam.

I think many of us forget what Easter is truelly all about. We get so self obsorbed and forget to give thanks to the One who has blessed us with all that we have. This weekend brought me back down a notch to what life really is all about.

I feel so very blessed to have a Savior that died and rose again to forgive every single one of the transgressions I make day in and day out. Thank you Lord for all that you have given me, and my wonderful, inspiring Crossfit family!

Ass to Ankles

Whitney does a great job of getting below parallel on every one of her squats. This is the perfection we as Crossfitters should be aiming for every time we step into the gym. Technique and movements should be flawless. The workout today was 5 rounds of:

65# Squat cleans X10
10 pullups
200 M sprint

Silly Girls!

The Crossfit Indoor ladies got done with their gruelling workout coached by Mrs. Carey Kepler and had just enough energy left to throw up their guns and pose for the frame! Crossfit Womens classes are growing quickly, so make sure you get your spot. In May we will be opening up a 5:45 AM Womens class on Tuesday and Thursdays, and many more classes to come!
